Online flower company messes up man's marriage
A man has filed a suit for $1.15 million against 1-800-Flowers for revealing his unfaithfulness towards his wife, who has filed for divorce. Leroy Greer of Missouri City ordered red roses to be sent to his girlfriend, and asked the flower company not to send the receipt to his house or office. A few months later 1-800-Flowers sent a thank-you note to the plaintiff's home. Greer wife called on the flower company for proof of purchase. The company merrily sent her a fax towards the demanded proof. The fax also included a card message from Leroy to his girlfriend, which read: "Just wanted to say I love you and you mean the world to me! Leroy."
