03/13/07 David Aronoff and Lincoln Bandlow join Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP, as partners Los Angeles-based Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP, a leading business-litigation law firm, recently announced that David Aronoff and Lincoln Bandlow have joined the firm as partners. Aronoff was a partner with Leopold, Petrich & Smith before joining Fox Spillane. His litigation practice focuses on representing media and entertainment companies, particularly motion picture studios, production companies, publishers, and advertising agencies. Bandlow was also a partner with Leopold, Petrich & Smith before joining Fox Spillane. He practices sophisticated business litigation and specializes in litigating media, First Amendment, intellectual property, and other entertainment-related matters. Four attorneys join Winston & Strawn, LLP Winston & Strawn, LLP, recently announced that four litigators have joined its New York and Los Angeles offices. Jeffrey P. Rosenstein, Robert J. Saville, and Kenneth D. O'Reilly have joined its New York office, and Rebecca L. Calkins has joined its Los Angeles office. Merchant & Gould welcomes Drew Hissong as a partner in its Washington, DC, office Merchant & Gould announced last week that Drew Hissong, Ph.D., has joined its Washington, DC, office as a partner. Dr. Hissong practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent prosecution, opinions, interferences, and client counseling for biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Before joining Merchant & Gould, he was a partner with Sughrue Mion in Washington, DC, in the firm's biotech/pharma group. Becker & Poliakoff welcomes Miguel Diaz de la Portilla to its growing government law practice Becker & Poliakoff, a Florida-based statewide and international commercial law firm with a significant government law and lobbying practice, recently announced that Miguel Diaz de la Portilla has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Coral Gables office. Portilla will lead the firm's government and lobbying practice in Miami-Dade County. He is a former two-term member and chairman of the Miami-Dade County Commission. As head of Becker & Poliakoff's government law group, he will continue his land use and zoning, lobbying, litigation, and government procurement practice.
