This week, I discovered a new blog, Dizzy does it, which discusses all of the totally major issues, like how going to law school is so awesome because it allows you to buy more expensive purses and, even more importantly, it's "cool to be smart." (No, I'm not kidding.) Anyway, there's a lengthy discussion on there about how girls can get away with the "smart, inexperienced vibe," acting like a "typical smart person," building blocks, and even some thin connection between all this and the law. Whatever! I didn't understand any of it, but I just love the fact that one of these girls finally admitted she went to law school because she wanted to wear fancy outfits for the rest of her life!

I also discovered an, um, interesting article on JD Bliss about...the niche practice of karate law. Apparently David Kaufmann, a professor at George Mason University School of Law, paralyzed his lifelong love of karate into a sustainable legal practice. Okay, in all fairness, this guy does sound pretty cool (much cooler than most of my law school professors, at least), but I can't help but find humor in the niche practice of "karate law." What's next? Trampoline law? Stiletto law? By the way, if you do practice in some sort of strange niche area, please write in and let me know; I'd love to hear about it (and I promise not to mock you!).

That's about all the randomness I can handle for this week. Join me again next week; who knows, if the weather's warmer, I might be in a better mood...it's unlikely, but hey, anything's possible!
