Job Title: Child Support Specialist III
Job Responsibilities:
The position of Child Support Specialist III is a specialist role where employees act as lead workers and backup supervisors for Level I and II employees within the department. The responsibilities include:
- Providing child support case consultation, advising, and training on child support casework.
- Interpreting laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to child support enforcement.
- Assigning caseloads to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Handling child support casework at all levels of difficulty and complexity.
Education and Experience:
The position requires a combination of education and professional experience in child support enforcement. The qualifications include:
- A bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work, plus an additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR a master’s degree plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement; or a juris doctorate degree plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and two years of qualifying experience, plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management and two years of qualifying experience, plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR completion of an American Bar Association approved paralegal education program and two years of qualifying experience, plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
Preference may be given to candidates with two years of professional experience in child support enforcement.
Salary Information:
The annual salary for the Child Support Specialist III position is $43,, along with full state employee benefits.

- Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain the required car insurance.
