Job Title: Child Support Specialist III
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a specialist level employee, designated as a lead worker and backup supervisor to Level I and II employees.
- Provide child support case consultation, advising, and training on child support casework and interpretation of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assign caseloads and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Handle casework at all levels of difficulty and complexity.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work, plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR a master’s degree plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR a juris doctorate degree plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and two years of qualifying experience plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management and two years of qualifying experience plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR completion of an American Bar Association approved paralegal education program and two years of qualifying experience plus one additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
Salary Information:
- Annual Salary: $43, plus full state employee benefits.
Additional Information:
- This position is open to current employees of the organization only.
- Job-related travel is occasional; candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
- Preference may be given to candidates with two years of professional experience in child support enforcement.
