Job Title: Events Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of events including conferences, focused seminars, firm-wide functions, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage events hosted at law firm facilities and collaborate with the events team to develop new programs targeting key audiences.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the client database, including event registration and guest lists.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event vendors and negotiate contracts to meet budgetary goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and industry professionals.
- Ensure that hosted events reflect the law firm's brand and values.
- Participate in special projects as needed, including business development and communications initiatives.
- Travel moderately to manage and attend events as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing events is required.
- Experience in professional services, technology industry, or related service industries is a plus.
- A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Capability to work effectively with partners, attorneys, and staff at all professional levels to implement marketing goals and objectives.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, outside service providers, and business and community leaders.
- High degree of discretion and independent judgment is necessary.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, internet research, Salesforce, and database management is required.
- Ability to execute both virtual and in-person events.
Salary Information:
- The primary location for this job is in New York, but other locations may be listed.
- The actual base pay offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location.
- Anticipated pay range for various locations:
- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $81,600 - $110,400 per year
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $73,100 - $98,900 per year
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: $65,450 - $88,550 per year
- Compensation may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
