Job Responsibilities
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm is responsible for a variety of tasks in the Construction Defects department. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling case intake, which involves researching property records and providing pertinent details to docketing.
- Updating the database with claim information.
- Monitoring arbitration filings inbox and relaying deadlines to docketing.
- Communicating priority issues to attorneys and other paralegals.
- Submitting process server and expert invoices in Chrome River.
- Handling AAA invoices.
- Updating claims database.
- Performing other miscellaneous tasks and meeting daily deadlines.
- Consistently achieving a 1650 billable hour requirement, which includes approved non-billable time.
Education and Experience Information
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred.
- Prior paralegal or assistant experience is preferred.
- Prior administrative or clerical experience is also preferred.
Salary Information
In an effort to support transparency and equity in the workplace, the law firm provides salary ranges for all positions. For the Litigation Paralegal position, the salary ranges are as follows:
- Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa: $62,100 to $86,900.
The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at the law firm.
