Summary:
- The Hawai`i State Judiciary is seeking a Circuit Court Clerk II (Lautenberg) in Honolulu, Oahu.
- The salary for this position is $4, per month.
- The minimum qualification for this position is graduation from high school or equivalent, with one (1) year of work experience in a court or legal setting.
- The job duties include determining and authoring the official record of actions in a court of general jurisdiction, maintaining custody of all notices and documents, and directing courtroom procedures for complex, contested cases.
- Applicants must possess the ability to type at a rate of 40 net words per minute.
- Educational substitutions for specialized experience are allowed, including education in paralegal, legal studies, law, or related fields, or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field.
- Applicants must also have at least six (6) months of courtroom experience, either as a litigation attorney or paralegal, or in a courtroom setting comparable to the next lower level Circuit Court Clerk I or District Court Clerk II.

Qualifications:

Substitutions Allowed:
- Education in paralegal, legal studies, law, or related fields, or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field may be substituted for specialized experience.
- There is no educational substitution for the courtroom experience requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Determines and authors the official record of actions in a court of general jurisdiction.
- Maintains custody of all notices and documents presented in court.
- Receives and processes exhibits.
- Directs courtroom procedures for hearings and trials involving complex, contested cases.
