Job Title: Professional Development Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- The Professional Development Assistant will collaborate with the Professional Development team to support the implementation of firmwide professional development programs and initiatives, including continuing legal education (CLE) programming and compliance.
- Responsibilities include the accurate and timely administration and maintenance of internal and client training programs into the learning management system and, as needed, state bar databases.
- The role involves overseeing logistics for internal training programs, which includes scheduling conference rooms, tracking RSVPs, and liaising with all offices and support departments regarding training program arrangements and materials.
- The assistant will update and maintain attorneys’ profiles, license information, and CLE records in CE Manager.
- They will maintain and create Professional Development documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
- The role requires uploading and coordinating training recordings to the learning management system, including tracking completion.
- The assistant will communicate with attorneys (verbally and electronically) regarding their CLE requirements/credits and enter external CLE certificates into CE Manager.
- Cross-training with other team members to ensure adequate backup for all areas is necessary.
- Conducting special projects as required is also part of the role.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position.
- Familiarity with CE Manager is a plus.
- The role requires a professional demeanor and discretion.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent oral/written communication and listening skills are necessary, along with the ability to communicate across all levels inside and outside the firm.
- Excellent customer service and diplomacy skills are required.
- Strong research skills and keen attention to detail/strict deadlines are important, along with the ability to follow directions.
- Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to effectively and efficiently manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in strong computer skills is required, including proficiency with the Internet, a learning management platform, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Salary Information:
- The compensation range for this position is $50,000/yr. to $55,000/yr.
