Law Firm Seeks Senior Application Security Engineer in Florida

At Morgan & Morgan, we are dedicated to fighting for consumer rights and protecting individuals from powerful corporations. With over 3,000 employees, we are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Team and help us achieve our mission. This position is open to candidates with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and the ability to work in any of our . offices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct threat modelling and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to align security goals with business objectives
- Define and implement security standards and best practices for applications and APIs
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on applications and APIs
- Act as a subject matter expert on emerging threats and secure coding techniques
- Establish metrics and reporting for security integration into the SDLC process

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of current web and application security standards and best practices
- Experience securing applications and APIs on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency with modern API security, including REST and GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with security testing tools such as SAST, DAST, IAST, and RASP
- Ability to communicate business risks from cybersecurity issues
- Successful experience developing and maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures
- Strong track record of performing threat modeling, security code reviews, and penetration testing
- Programming experience in Python, TypeScript, and C#
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications within six months of hire
