Job Title: Pricing and Value Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

The Pricing and Value Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Pricing and Value, as well as the senior management team at the law firm. The specialist is responsible for facilitating the goals and activities of the firm's Pricing and Value Department. Key responsibilities include:

- Engaging in analysis and strategic planning to enhance the pricing, client service, and client retention processes.
- Developing pricing structures, communication plans, and making recommendations to improve client relationships.
- Monitoring active clients and budgets, and reporting on results.
- Supporting partners, business development managers, and RFP teams both in the US and internationally by providing analysis, strategy, advice, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), and presentations for RFP responses.
- Assisting in the development of a legal project management process and pricing matters, utilizing knowledge of legal project management.
- Scoping and budgeting legal matters, monitoring them, conducting after-action reviews, and providing advice.
- Developing and providing client and matter monitoring and other reporting.
- Analyzing current or prospective client data to identify opportunities for enhanced value for both the client and the firm.
- Preparing various productivity reports for the Director of Pricing and Value, firm management, business development managers, and partners.
- Managing, maintaining, and developing productivity, matter planning, and profitability software like Iridium, and conducting training for partners and staff on its use.
- Developing custom reporting solutions to address unique needs of partners, clients, and other firm staff.
- Utilizing client, industry, and peer survey data to contribute to the firm's annual rate setting project.
- Reviewing Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs) to identify terms needing further review, and ensuring all information is kept up to date in a database.
- Participating in special projects and initiatives as defined by the Director of Pricing and Value, Executive Director, and others.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in legal pricing or legal project management, or 5+ years of experience in a business role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including skills in Vlookup, pivot tables, charts/graphs, what/if statements, and other formulas is required.
- Knowledge of SQL, SSRS, PowerBI, or other BI software is desired.
- Strong organizational, communication, time management, and client service skills are required.
- Exceptional planning and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities are essential.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with all levels within the organization.

Salary Information:

The position is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days per week. The salary range for the Pricing and Value Specialist position varies depending on geographic location, experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The range for this position is from $71,400 to $109,500.
