Job Title: Senior Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Litigation Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support throughout all phases of the litigation process. This includes performing initial client intakes and assisting in investigations and case assessments to ensure thorough preparation for each case. The assistant will be responsible for the filing and service of pleadings, motions, and all relevant court documents, ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures, particularly in Philadelphia and, if applicable, New Jersey.
Maintaining organized and indexed files is crucial, as is the gathering, organization, and indexing of medical records, which are essential for case preparation and trial readiness. The assistant will work directly with a shareholder and their paralegal, functioning as a key team member to deliver optimal service and results for clients in a plaintiff’s busy catastrophic injury law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of proven working experience as a legal assistant, specifically within civil litigation. Experience in the Philadelphia court system is required, with knowledge of New Jersey practice considered an asset. The role demands a high level of energy, intelligence, integrity, and self-motivation, along with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Skills required include a comprehensive understanding of motions, discovery, documentation, and court rules and procedures. The candidate should be highly organized, capable of managing multiple deadlines, and possess extensive knowledge of service procedures. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with case management systems. Experience with a dictaphone is considered a plus.
Salary Information:
The position offers a salary range of $50, to $80, per year, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Schedule:
