Job Title: Privacy and Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the law firm's data protection initiatives and processes.
- Conduct various risk assessments, including client risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, or artificial intelligence assessments.
- Conduct investigations, inquiries, and remediation efforts.
- Provide analysis and support for privacy and compliance initiatives, such as privacy by design, data minimization, continuous improvement of access management and controls, and the appropriate use, handling, and protection of personal information.
- Develop and assist with corrective action plans.
- Monitor and audit various law firm processes involving personal information.
- Resolve internal audit findings and ensure all operational processes align with compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation for law firm processes and initiatives.
- Participate in data protection controls strategy and the administration of privacy and security controls in support of the law firm's regulatory and federal government requirements.
- Serve as a privacy and compliance resource to cross-functional teams and workgroups to continuously identify, improve, and monitor processes designed to mitigate the risk of non-compliance.
- Assist with administrative and operational privacy and compliance program functions.
- Undertake special projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 2-4 years of professional compliance experience, including familiarity with privacy and data protection.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with clients, internal attorneys, cross-functional teams, leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and iManage.
- Preferred: Knowledge or understanding of data protection principles, GRC experience, understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Privacy, law firm experience, and industry standard certification such as CCEP, CIPP, CIPM, or similar certification.
Salary Information:
The position may be filled in Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, New York, Colorado, or California. The base salary ranges for this position are:
- Washington – $74,000 – $112,000 per year
- Illinois – $74,000 – $112,000 per year
- District of Columbia – $81,000 – $122,000 per year
- New York City – $81,000 – $122,000 per year
- Colorado – $68,000 – $102,000 per year
- California – $81,000 – $122,000 per year
