Traditional Labor Of Counsel - Hybrid - Orange County, CA
Overview:
Jackson Lewis ., a leading law firm specializing in labor and employment law, is seeking an Of Counsel attorney for our Orange County, CA office. This position will primarily focus on traditional labor relations, but will also involve advising employers on federal and California workplace laws and other assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of experience as an attorney with a strong background in traditional labor law and advice and counsel work.
Salary Information:
The expected salary range for this position is $261,500-$285,000, based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This is not inclusive of our full range and may vary depending on factors such as education, licensure, and geographic location.
Responsibilities:
The Of Counsel attorney will be responsible for a variety of duties, including:
- Representing employers in all facets of traditional labor relations, including handling unfair labor practice charges, conducting research and writing, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
- Providing legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, and other labor-related issues.
- Advising employers on wage and hour laws, leave management, and disability accommodations.
- Reviewing handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state laws.
- Conducting management training on labor relations and workplace issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on traditional labor law and advice and counsel work.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- Understanding of current agency enforcement techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- May require regular business travel.
