Job Responsibilities
The Finance BD & Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the Projects and Energy, Sports and Entertainment, and Restructuring subgroups. The primary role is to identify and drive strategic growth initiatives to expand client relationships, generate demand, and bolster the firm's brand. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing targeted go-to-market plans for client growth and collaboration.
- Leading integrated marketing and business development initiatives focused on client targeting, lead generation, and pipeline acceleration.
- Analyzing market trends, client priorities, and competitive dynamics to identify and pursue targets.
- Shaping messaging, building and distributing thought leadership, and incorporating them into events and sponsorship strategies.
- Drafting and refining marketing and business development content, including pitch materials, capability statements, client outreach, event invitations, and campaign messaging.
- Developing and executing a strategy for awards and directories to highlight the group’s impactful client work and achievements.
- Leading business development integration for lateral partners by analyzing client bases to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborating with pitch and proposal teams, and competitive intelligence teams to draft strong pitches and proposals.
- Partnering with broader marketing, business development, and communications teams to implement strategies and campaigns across various channels.
- Collaborating with sector teams to package the group’s capabilities and raise their visibility both internally and externally.
- Supporting the planning and execution of practice group meetings, retreats, and key client engagement events.
- Managing the practice group marketing budget, ensuring alignment with firm priorities and campaign ROI.
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics for business development and marketing initiatives.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Information
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales/Marketing within a professional services environment.
Additionally, the candidate should possess experience in a law firm or professional services setting, with a strong orientation towards business development and client growth. They should demonstrate abilities in developing tailored marketing and business development programs for sophisticated clients and C-suite decision-makers. Strategic thinking, sound professional judgment, and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential. Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills are required, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with CRM systems or pipeline tracking tools.
Salary Information
The expected hiring range for this position is $146,352 - $193,920 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
