Attorney - Employment Law & Litigation

Job Responsibilities:
The Attorney - Employment Law & Litigation position involves working within the Employment Law and Litigation practice group at a law firm. The role requires the candidate to engage in various legal activities including:
- Understanding and applying federal and state employment laws.
- Handling contracts, wrongful termination claims, discrimination cases, defamation issues, trade secret misappropriation, and restrictive covenants enforcement.
- Ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Addressing cases of sexual harassment.
- Investigating claims and providing risk avoidance strategies.
- Engaging in litigation processes, including class action litigation defense.
- Conducting legal research and writing.
- Responding to and arguing motions.
- Ensuring discovery compliance.
- Taking and defending depositions.
- Preparing for and participating in administrative, state, and federal hearings and trials.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this position are required to have:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Connecticut.
- 1-5 years of legal experience, specifically in employment law and litigation.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
- The ability to multitask and work independently.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Attorney - Employment Law & Litigation position is $100,000 annually.
