Overview:
**Members Only**, a top-ranked law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic Intellectual Property department in our Madison, WI office. This role is crucial in providing high-quality support to our legal team and clients. Responsibilities:
- Provide executive level administrative assistance through the performance of complex administrative duties, research tasks, meeting planning and coordination, client communication, and scheduling, etc.
- Manage inbox/emails and organize documents in an electronic repository.
- Draft and complete documents/paperwork supporting patent prosecution.
- Respond to emails, telephone calls, letters and/or visitors, and resolve routine questions.
- Schedule appointments and make arrangements for conferences and travel.
- Correspond with clients, attorneys and business professionals to confirm instructions and deadlines.
- Create, organize and maintain client files and follow up on pending matters.
- Maintain physical and electronic client, research and administrative files utilizing NetDocs.
- Prepare engagement letters and assist with client billing as required.
- Interact professionally with clients and internal parties by providing filing information and responding to questions appropriately.
- Provide document production services, including styling and formatting of documents; proofreading and checking for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammatical errors.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Work experience in an administrative setting required.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple activities while working under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
