Senior Business Development Manager - Litigation - Hybrid Role

Orrick, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for their Litigation practice. The role is open to applicants in any of their . offices.

Objective:

- Drive revenue opportunities and enhance market presence for the firm's Litigation practice
- Collaborate with sector and practice leaders to develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with the firm's E & I Sector OKRs

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Coordination:

- Work with senior leaders to develop go-to-market plans that support Litigation OKRs
- Coach partners on individual business plans and connect them with specialized business development professionals
- Develop metrics to track progress in collaboration with BD Operations and data analytics team

Thought Leadership:

- Collaborate with Campaign and Communications teams to deliver thought leadership that solidifies the firm's reputation as a Litigation leader and attracts clients
- Provide input on pitch strategies and value propositions based on sector capabilities and client needs
- Lead drafting of Litigation sector pitches, RFPs, and presentations in collaboration with P&P
- Support and coach Litigation partners in delivering a distinctive pitch experience

Client and Market Insights:

- Collaborate with Research and Business Intelligence teams to share market intelligence and identify revenue opportunities
- Develop plans to target new clients and expand relationships with existing clients

Event Management and Communication:

- Provide input on Litigation events, sponsorships, and CLEs
- Prepare lawyers for conferences and networking events

Storytelling:

- Help communicate the Litigation story internally and to the market
- Oversee a library of key data points and metrics

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of marketing experience in business development and marketing for Litigation practices
- Passion and deep understanding of Litigation clients' needs
- Strong client service approach with ability to build and manage relationships
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Adaptable with a growth mindset
- Exercise sound judgment and professionalism
- Litigation experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

- Expected salary range:
- California Major Markets*: $139,000 to $195,000
- New York City: $154,000 to $195,000
- National: $129,000 to $165,000
