Director of Business Continuity Job Description:
- Lead the development, planning, execution, and testing of business continuity measures at Morgan & Morgan
- Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for business continuity
- Ensure that business services are protected according to defined recovery objectives
- Secure support and funding from senior leadership for the business continuity program
- Provide regular updates on the state of resiliency capabilities to stakeholders
- Maintain plans, documentation, and registers for the program
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish benchmarks and metrics
- Review third-party obligations for resiliency
- Communicate business risk to executives and technical professionals in a clear and effective manner
- Embody trust, dignity, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of the role
- Conduct business impact analysis and make recommendations for improvement
- Motivate and inspire team members to continuously learn and improve
- Implement controls from established frameworks and maintain current certifications in business continuity
- Utilize agile project management principles in program implementation
- Provide leadership and coaching to team members
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience managing a business continuity program for a medium to large enterprise
- Strong understanding of technical solutions and business functions
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive-level stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and coach team members
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NIST 800-34
- Active membership in a business continuity professional organization (BCI, DRII, etc.)
- Current business continuity certifications such as CBCP or CBCI
- Experience with agile project management
- Prior leadership or management experience
Location:
- This role is based at any of our Florida offices, with a preference for candidates located in Florida.
