Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's top global law firms, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our Industry Strategy and Strategic Initiatives Teams. With offices strategically located across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, we are committed to driving growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the legal industry.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing transformative growth strategies for 13 key sectors and eight (and growing) initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in shaping the strategic direction of an AmLaw Top 10 firm and be a key member of our market-leading industry and initiatives team structure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic goals for multiple industry and/or initiative teams in collaboration with leaders and senior team members
- Manage and implement implementation plans, regularly reviewing progress and making adjustments as needed
- Stay up-to-date on market and legal trends and apply this knowledge in developing strategies for go-to-market teams
- Monitor business climate and government activity in areas related to the firm's services
- Analyze internal data and prepare reports for firm management
- Collaborate with other Managers and cross-functionally with colleagues in departments such as Marketing & Communications, Practice Operations, and Business Intelligence
Experience and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of trends and business issues in the Healthcare and Insurance sectors is preferred, as well as knowledge of the legal competitive landscape
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of directly related business development experience, preferably in a law firm or other legal, consulting, or professional services firm
- Strong project management and financial acumen
- Experience creating and presenting strategic plans to senior management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
