Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Litigation Assistant to join our team in West Los Angeles. This role will work closely with one of our premises liability attorneys and litigation paralegal, and will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to support the litigation process. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. A high school diploma or GED is required, and an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas is also preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Review and request medical records
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
- Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills

Hourly Range: $30 - $30 USD
