Job Responsibilities
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will perform a broad range of substantive tasks in collaboration with attorneys, focusing on product liability, consumer fraud, and other disputes across various industries. Your key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and monitoring court deadlines.
- Electronically filing documents with the Court through the ECF system under attorney supervision.
- Conducting online PACER research.
- Preparing drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions.
- Preparing deposition notices and organizing and managing deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries.
- Tracking and managing discovery, including document productions.
- Participating in case strategy meetings.
- Handling routine communications with courts, outside attorneys, experts, and clients.
- Assisting with all phases of trial preparation and attendance.
Education and Experience Information
- A 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate are preferred; however, work experience may be substituted for education.
- Ability to conduct research using various tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.
- Ability to travel for trial when needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.
Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for merit-based raises and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
