Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm is responsible for a range of duties that support the legal team in providing effective representation for residential tenants. The key responsibilities include:

- Gathering, organizing, and synthesizing information and documents from clients and third parties to support case strategy and development.
- Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, including complaints and basic motions, ensuring all materials are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Preparing discovery requests and responses, facilitating the exchange of information between parties involved in litigation.
- Conducting research and drafting subpoenas to obtain necessary documents and testimony from third parties.
- Analyzing opposing party discovery responses to identify deficiencies and gather pertinent information that can be used in the case.
- Drafting meet and confer letters to address potential discovery issues and facilitate resolution.
- Assisting with the drafting of mediation briefs and compiling exhibits to support the firm's legal arguments during mediation.
- Managing calendaring and filing deadlines to ensure all legal procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Litigation Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal certificate is required to demonstrate foundational legal knowledge and skills.
- A minimum of one year of civil litigation experience in California State Courts is essential, providing familiarity with legal procedures and practices specific to the state.
- Fluency in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin is strongly preferred, as it enhances communication with a diverse client base and supports effective representation.

Salary Information:
