Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence Analyst at the law firm plays a crucial role in advancing client insights and enhancing knowledge of key markets where the firm operates. The position involves discovering new business opportunities, fostering new client relationships, and supporting overall marketing efforts. Key responsibilities include:

- Utilizing various research and competitive intelligence tools like Bloomberg Law, Westlaw, CNS, and D&B Hoovers to gather, summarize, and synthesize relevant information about current and prospective clients, industries, practices, and competitor law firms. This is aimed at identifying revenue-generating opportunities and facilitating decision-making in key markets and industries.
- Preparing the Business Development team and firm attorneys for meetings with clients and prospects by providing data-rooted reports and presentations in a digestible format, summarizing key insights and findings.
- Keeping abreast of the legal industry, client industries, and other news sources to proactively recommend ways to leverage the information.
- Monitoring and enhancing client segmentation, pipeline tracking, and opportunity management using the CRM to generate an opportunity scorecard.
- Collecting, organizing, and maintaining matter descriptions, jurisdictional expertise, industry/sector, and practice nuances for an experience database.
- Supporting the Marketing/Business Development team and attorneys in vetting new business opportunities. This includes providing recommendations and reports on the value of investments and the ROI of such opportunities, such as RFPs/pitches, firm events, outside awards/nominee analysis, third-party legal rankings, speaking engagements, tickets and client entertainment, sponsorships and charitable contributions, professional dues and memberships, and other data as further determined.

Education and Experience Information:
Qualified applicants for the Business Intelligence Analyst position should have:

- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a preferred background in business, economics, library, information science, or equivalent fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in a legal/professional services-related field, with familiarity with CRM databases common to the legal industry. Experience with Intapp DealCloud is preferred, but other legal industry CRM experience is acceptable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex research into clear, actionable summaries.
- A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Motivation, initiative, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong technical skills and experience with marketing technology platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
