Job Title: Marketing and Communications Writer

Job Responsibilities:
The Marketing and Communications Writer at the law firm is tasked with a wide array of writing and editing responsibilities aimed at enhancing the firm's marketing and public relations efforts. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the creation and editing of firm-owned, client-facing content to ensure consistency and appeal across various audiences.
- Crafting compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences, ensuring the appropriate tone of voice and key messages are utilized.
- Maintaining the firm's voice and style across all communications to promote the brand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and minimizing errors in grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation.
- Collaborating with practice chairs and marketing managers to develop and refine marketing and business development materials, including pitches, proposals, and website content.
- Editing award submissions in collaboration with the PR and department marketing teams, ensuring consistency and quality in directory and award submissions.
- Drafting bios for incoming lateral attorneys, maintaining consistency and style.
- Editing client alerts, blogs, practice newsletters, and reports drafted by attorneys, ensuring a consistent approval process.
- Creating content for the monthly internal leadership newsletters and assisting with other newsletters.
- Developing and implementing editorial standards to enhance the quality of firm content, working with stakeholders to implement processes.
- Assisting in other writing and editing projects as needed.

Education and Experience:
The position requires a bachelor's degree in public relations, English, marketing, journalism, or communications. Additionally, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in technical writing or journalism, with a focus on professional services. Essential skills include:

- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a proven record of adhering to AP style and corporate style guides.
- Ability to write and edit complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with creativity, discretion, and the ability to persuade.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing workload in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts, building effective relationships.
- Submission of writing samples along with the resume is required.

Salary Information:
The budgeted salary range for the Marketing and Communications Writer position is $140,000 to $160,000. As part of full-time employment, the law firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
