Salary Grape Law Firm offers competitive salary for this position. # Turkish Speaking Paralegal at is actively recruiting for a Turkish Speaking Paralegal based in New York/New Jersey. This is a full-time position with 1-10 employees. The firm is a young and dynamic law firm determined to help immigrants all around the world through the immigration process and ultimately obtain citizenship. ## Responsibilities of the Turkish Speaking Paralegal The Turkish Speaking Paralegal is expected to work in close co-operation with the attorneys, as well as the administrative and legal staff. The responsibilities of the position include: * Assisting attorneys in representing clients on a variety of affirmative immigration matters with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). * Drafting forms and letters for visa applications and petitions, applications for permanent residence, labor certification applications, and other immigrant and non-immigrant related filings. * Analyzing and reviewing case details and determining future actions. * Analyzing, reviewing and organizing documents and data from materials produced. * Gathering and organizing appropriate evidence to support immigration filings. * Assembling application and petition packages and files with USCIS or other appropriate agency. * Conducting quality assurance review of immigration filings. * Coordinating translation of foreign documents, equivalency and evaluations of foreign degrees and work experience, and expert opinions. * Communicating timely, compassionately, and professionally with both corporate and individual clients on matters associated with immigration filings. * Maintaining computer databases and monitoring reports related to caseload management of immigration matters. * Addressing client case status inquiries, including steps in process remaining, processing times, and consular appointment issues. * Monitoring immigration related publications and web sites for news and trends and communicating findings to the practice group keeping important items in electronic files. * Setting up new cases in the system and preparing engagement letters. ## Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience: * An undergraduate degree from a reputable university (social sciences and law is a plus). * Fluency in Turkish and English. * Background with automation using information technology and willingness to embrace technology to automate processes is strongly preferred. Past experience in this area is a strong plus as the associate will assist with technology aspects of the firm. * Previous experience in immigration law is preferred. * Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a busy and fast-paced environment. * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. ## Salary Grape Law Firm offers competitive salary for this position.
