Job Title: Civil Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
As a Civil Litigation Paralegal at the law firm, the candidate will support litigators handling a high volume of work. The role involves a broad array of responsibilities, such as maintaining and organizing legal files, conducting thorough legal research, drafting various legal documents, and effectively communicating with clients and other parties involved in cases. The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after in-office training is completed.

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting research on relevant laws, regulations, and articles.
- Organizing and maintaining documents in physical files and the firm's document management software.
- Gathering, maintaining, and arranging evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
- Writing reports to assist attorneys in trial preparation, as directed by attorneys.
- Assisting lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts.
- Processing authorizations and obtaining affidavits and other formal documents/statements for court use.
- Communicating with clients to gather information, providing updates while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Filing exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel after attorney review and approval.
- Scheduling interviews, meetings, or depositions with clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors as per client guidelines.
- Collaborating with both attorneys and legal assistants on non-billable tasks, supporting case management as needed.
- Managing daily billable timekeeping entries in the firm's software program.
- Documenting approvals as it relates to firm and client guidelines.
- Reviewing challenges and write-offs when presented by attorneys; collaborating with Client Revenue on providing necessary information regarding client appeals.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an Associate's degree is preferred. A certificate in paralegal studies or 3+ years of paralegal experience is essential.
- Clear communication and information exchange in English is required.
- Being a Certified Notary is considered a plus.
- The candidate must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to observe and assess data and documents in printed form and on computer screens is necessary.
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours is expected.
- The candidate should be team-oriented with the ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision.
- The ability to respond and maintain confidentiality of information or adversarial inquiries is essential.
