The Business Development Manager – Global Litigation & Trial is a key role within the BD department at Latham & Watkins, one of the top global law firms. This individual will work closely with the IP Litigation practice and other BD teams to develop and execute strategic plans for the IP Litigation group, as well as support overall business development goals. The role can be based in New York, Washington, ., or Chicago and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Role Responsibilities

- Work closely with department and practice group leaders and BD teams to identify and develop new client relationships and enhance existing ones
- Support client retention and cross-selling programs
- Develop and implement strategies, goals, and metrics for assigned practice(s), industries, and clients
- Oversee plans, programs, and budgets
- Identify thought leadership opportunities and collaborate with lawyers and BD team members to execute them
- Protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of marketing principles, including internal communications, public relations, event planning, branding, and market research
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively manage teams
- Professional interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of the firm
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of business development and marketing experience in legal or professional services
