Job Title: Client Associate
Job Responsibilities:
As a Client Associate at the law firm, your primary role is to assist individuals seeking disability benefits or insurance compensation by setting them on the right path. This position diverges from a traditional paralegal role as it combines typical paralegal duties with those unique to a fast-growing tech company environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Interviewing clients, analyzing their medical records, and drafting persuasive memos to argue for their disability status with the SSA.
- Mapping questions and logic for government benefits applications, designing client-friendly forms, and collecting feedback to enhance the process.
- Identifying inefficient workflows that hinder team progress, proposing improvements, gaining team agreement, and implementing the changes.
- Collaborating with attorneys on case strategy and maintaining client relationships while keeping your caseload moving.
- Working with Marketing to create client testimonials, conducting user tests for new tools with Product, and sharing insights with Client Experience.
Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Minimum of 1+ years in a professional role involving substantial client-facing or lawyer-facing work, such as a case manager or paralegal.
- A degree from a top college or university with strong academic performance.
- Comfort in various interpersonal situations, demonstrating empathy and organization when interacting with clients and attorneys.
- A demonstrated commitment to helping people and doing good.
Bonus / Nice-to-Have:
- Professional experience assisting others in applying for government benefits.
- Experience in a startup or other fast-paced, agile environment.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers competitive pay, including equity and generous benefits. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000, in addition to equity and benefits. The final salary offer will be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal equity within the team.

Location:
