Job Title: Attorney (CA Employment Law - Advice & Counsel) (4-7 Years)

Job Responsibilities:
The attorney will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their legal needs and concerns, providing counsel, and representing them in negotiations. Key responsibilities include:

- Advising clients on issues such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour law (California and FLSA), employment contract law, terminations, layoffs, protected leaves, and pay equity.
- Drafting and analyzing employment documents including contracts, policies, and handbooks.
- Negotiating employment law-related matters, including separation agreements and agency claims.
- Reviewing and assessing contracts.
- Representing clients in administrative proceedings (., DLSE/Labor Commissioner, CRD, OCR, EEOC, NLRB, BPPE).
- Preparing and strategizing for collective bargaining and labor relations negotiations.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and case law relevant to the practice areas.
- Preparing client updates and conducting trainings and presentations.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be licensed attorneys in California with four to seven years of experience advising on California employment law matters. Experience in an advice and counsel context is preferred, along with a willingness to learn labor law and higher education law. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to maintaining current knowledge of legislative and case law changes in employment law.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 to $180,000 per year, based on experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, a flexible spending account, a health savings account, a loan repayment program, paid time off, and access to professional development funds. The annual billing requirement is 1,600 hours, and there is an opportunity to earn incentive compensation.

Candidates must be able to work remotely from California and should be willing to travel to client sites as needed. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage time and projects effectively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The attorney should be comfortable using current and advanced technology, including digital resources and client files.
