Job Title: Case Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in daily interaction with existing and potential clients, both via telephone and in person, to provide support and address inquiries.
- Order medical records from providers, maintaining communication with clients and providers throughout the course of treatment to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained.
- Acquire documents necessary to substantiate injury and/or liability positions in cases.
- Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for case support.
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers, and work to negotiate deductions of outstanding medical balances with healthcare providers.
- Collaborate directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files, ensuring smooth case progress and comprehensive support.
- Maintain organized case files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible.
- Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble supporting documents for submission to insurance carriers.
- Interact with attorneys to present case synopses when required, ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively.
- Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney, overseeing the entire process to ensure successful case resolution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business, adapting to new tasks as required.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position.
- Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager is preferred, indicating a background in handling similar case types.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster is preferred, showcasing relevant industry experience.
- Strong negotiating skills are required, with the ability to effectively negotiate settlements and balances.
- Ability to function as a team player and follow established procedures is necessary.
- Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers is essential for successful case management.
- Must possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- High level of organization is required, with the capacity to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential for effective case management.
- Extensive computer and database expertise is necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to type no less than 35 words per minute.
