Paralegal Estate and Trust Planning and Administration at Law Firm in Omaha, Nebraska, United States
**Members Only** is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join their team and assist with estate and trust planning and administration. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly experienced and knowledgeable team and take on sophisticated and challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys and senior paralegals with drafting estate planning documents and property schedules
- Coordinating asset transfers, including financial accounts, business interests, and real estate
- Preparing court documents for probates, inheritance tax proceedings, and guardianship/conservatorship proceedings
- Gathering and analyzing information on estate and trust assets, debts, and expenses
- Communicating with clients, professional advisors, executors/trustees, and court personnel
- Preparing initial drafts of tax returns and related documentation for review by senior paralegals and attorneys
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in estate and trust planning and administration
- Experience with probate administration and Nebraska inheritance tax proceedings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent academic and professional credentials
Preferred qualifications:
- Paralegal degree or certificate from an accredited program
- Certified Public Accountant license
