Job Title: Culture and Engagement Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Culture and Engagement Coordinator at the law firm will work under the supervision of the Director of Culture and Engagement. The coordinator's primary role is to support the development, promotion, and maintenance of a culture of engagement, inclusiveness, service, and excellence across the firm. Key responsibilities include:
Recruitment:
- Coordinating recruitment activities and events to promote the firm's commitment to belonging and inclusion.
- Maintaining partnerships with diverse businesses and legal organizations to support inclusive hiring practices.
- Assisting in onboarding new hires and introducing them to the firm's culture, values, and social impact initiatives.
Professional Development, Advancement, and Retention:
- Tracking and maintaining data related to the development, advancement, and retention of attorneys and business professionals.
- Supporting mentorship programs and professional development initiatives.
- Monitoring the allocation of client work and opportunities to ensure equitable access for all professionals.
- Organizing and promoting participation in belonging, inclusion, and pro bono programming.
Client Service:
- Supporting the alignment of belonging, inclusion, and pro bono initiatives with the firm’s business strategy.
- Assisting in preparing materials and responses for client requests related to social impact initiatives.
- Coordinating client-focused events and initiatives that promote inclusion, access, pro bono, and community service.
- Facilitating networking opportunities by organizing events and supporting attorney and business professional engagement.
Internal and External Communication:
- Drafting and editing key messages, marketing materials, intranet and web content, award nominations, reports, and survey responses related to culture and engagement.
- Assisting in promoting belonging, inclusion, and pro bono initiatives internally and externally.
- Supporting media placements and public relations efforts related to the firm’s social impact.
- Ensuring administrative compliance with the Mansfield Rule and other relevant initiatives.
Pro Bono and Community Service:
- Coordinating logistics for pro bono opportunities and community service events.
- Tracking and reporting on pro bono participation and outcomes.
- Assisting in developing and organizing pro bono training sessions.
- Supporting the creation and promotion of community service opportunities for attorneys and business professionals.
Management and Leadership:
- Collaborating with the Director and other firm leaders to accomplish key priorities and advance the firm’s social commitment.
- Tracking best practices and assisting in the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
- Developing and maintaining metrics to assess the business outcomes of social impact initiatives.
- Preparing budgets, tracking expenditures, and coordinating sponsorships related to belonging, inclusion, and pro bono activities.
- Organizing and supporting internal and external events, committee meetings, and outreach efforts.
- Preparing analytical and demographic reports and statistics as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional services environment is required.
