Business Development Events Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Business Development Events Specialist at the law firm is tasked with supporting the firm's business development initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the collection and management of the firm's deals and experience to bolster business development efforts.
- Managing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and generating business development activity reports.
- Updating and utilizing the CRM to create lists, reports, and analyze connections between attorneys, clients, and prospects.
- Providing ideas, guidance, and support to attorneys in developing materials and PowerPoint presentations.
- Collaborating with the marketing team concerning materials used for proposals, events, and other business development activities.
- Overseeing, planning, inviting, and executing the firm's business development events and activities, including in-person seminars, offsite networking events, webinars, and dinners.
- Acting as the primary liaison with external event partners, co-presenting organizations, conference organizers, external venues, caterers, and other vendors.
- Analyzing business development activities to generate periodic reports.
- Proactively collecting feedback after events and encouraging follow-up activities.
- Ensuring compliance with budgets for business development activities, including events, dinners, and conferences.
- Providing backup support to fellow members of the Business Development and Marketing team as needed.
- Assuming additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience supporting events, marketing, or business development in professional services, ideally within a law firm setting.

Additional Skills/Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, the firm's email marketing system, and CRM database.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills for content and context.
- High degree of organization, flexibility, and reliability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work well under pressure.
- Ability to assume responsibility for tasks, with the capacity to delegate workload to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence, including effective verbal communication, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to interact positively with people at all levels of business.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with team members, attorneys, and staff throughout the firm.
- Adaptability to last-minute changes and disruptions, with the ability to accommodate overtime work.

Essential Functions:
- Work primarily at the Boston office with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.
- Ability to work earlier, later, or offsite to support firm events.
- Capability to accept and perform well in independent tasks.

- Stay informed of trends and changes in the marketing of legal services.
