Overview:

PPL Corporation, one of the largest investor-owned utility companies in the United States, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsel to join our Legal team. As a Strategic Labor & Employment Advisor, you will partner with HR, labor relations, and other stakeholders across the company to provide strategic legal advice and develop solutions to mitigate labor and employment risks. Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and analyze legal risks and provide recommendations to business leaders
- Serve as a subject matter expert in labor and employment law
- Develop and implement internal employment policies and practices
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage outside counsel
- Conduct internal investigations and provide training and resources for legal compliance
- Adhere to the company's values and ethical standards
- Foster an inclusive and equitable workplace culture

Qualifications:

- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with HR and compliance professionals

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior in-house legal department experience
- Basic understanding of immigration, employee privacy, OSHA, workers' compensation, and employee benefits laws
- Experience in highly regulated industries
- Experience advising government contractors

Salary Information:

- $150,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
