Advice to law firm management:
Encourage the partners and firm to take a more professional route and go in with the highest standards all around. Keep a positive spirit but also know that you lead the way and others follow.
Pros:
This firm has the best people to work with They are supportive and are always willing to help. If you need guidance or mentorship you will find it here. They are there for you.
Cons:
They can be a little lax with professionalism and with privacy. They can be a bit too casual and that can come off as lazy to some which can make an impression on newer staff.

Hiring Criteria
Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP follows the set of hiring criteria outlined below.
An engineering or other scientific degree qualifying the candidate to take the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office bar exam is generally required for entry-level patent associate positions. The firm will also consider exceptional candidates who lack technical degrees for the firm's patent litigation, trademark and copyright practice.
Pro bono
We consider pro bono service to be integral to our practice. The Firm encourages its attorneys to participate in pro bono matters by offering 2-for-1 billable credit for the first 50 hours billed each year and by encouraging associates to take lead roles on pro bono matters.
Nearly 40% of our lawyers provide pro bono legal services to persons and organizations of need. Our representations range from child guardianship to criminal records expungement, from contacts and artist counseling to domestic violence. We also look to partner with our clients to support non-profit organizations and pro bono providers that have relationships with our clients.
