The law students will perform a variety of duties depending on experience level and the needs of a particular office or project. These duties may include: client interviews and case investigation; drafting of pleadings, memoranda and briefs; negotiation; direct representation at administrative hearings; court representation under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711; and legal research. All work is supervised by an experienced attorney.
Duties: Participate in a full range of office duties in a fast-paced environment including daily typing, drafting legal pleadings, filing, photocopying, answering the phone, conducting initial intake, orderly maintenance of cases and form files, greeting clients/guests, generating case reports as needed, and other clerical duties.
