Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Assistant will provide essential support to the Corporate HR team, which plays a strategic role in partnering with the firm's business professional population. The HR Assistant is responsible for managing daily tasks related to onboarding activities, new hire orientation, departures, timesheets, and other related duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and distributing forms to process data on new hires, non-employees, interns, terminations, position and status changes, salary, leave of absences, etc.
- Creating job requisitions and managing the activity of new hires in the Applicant Tracking System. This involves sending and monitoring the completion of onboarding paperwork and completing new hire forms to enter them into PeopleSoft.
- Assisting in the preparation and planning of new hire orientation and coordinating services between teams as needed.
- Overseeing the approval and onboarding of all external consultants joining the corporate organizations.
- Reviewing and processing timesheets in the Time and Attendance System on a bi-weekly basis, prior to payroll running.
- Preparing departure folders and completing tasks for exit interviews, including scheduling of rooms and creating exit summary outlines.
- Monitoring the corporate Human Resources inbox daily and funneling emails to the appropriate team member. Responding to emails on new hires, background checks, and other miscellaneous items.
- Assisting in all administrative duties related to the annual performance management process.
- Answering general employee questions.
- Assisting with special projects.
- Performing other related duties, as needed.
Education and Experience Information:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Prior human resources, professional services, or general office experience
- Desire to grow a career in human resources
- Strong proficiency in Excel

Salary Information:
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. The estimated salary range for this role, if located in Illinois, is $61,300 - $65,000. The compensation package also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program.
