Job Title: Principal Employment Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Advising on all aspects of day-to-day employment-related matters, including discipline, reasonable accommodations, wage and hour issues, internal investigations, and restrictive covenants.
- Advising on emerging legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment obligations and partnering on proactive compliance strategies.
- Advising on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and legal standards.
- Delivering training to HR professionals and business leaders on a wide variety of employment law matters.
- Representing the company in litigation matters and in proceedings before administrative agencies such as EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and state and local agencies.
- Drafting and negotiating employment-related contracts.
- Supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited school with exceptional academic credentials.
- At least 3 years of experience at a national law firm or as in-house counsel advising employers on employment-related matters and litigating employment-related claims.
- Member in good standing with the Florida bar or ability to be admitted to the Florida bar (including taking the Florida bar exam).
- Experience: 2+ years.
- High School Graduate / GED.
- Bachelor's Degree.
