Job Title: Senior Pricing and Financial Analyst - (Hybrid Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Pricing & Financial Analyst will assist the Client Value Team in managing the law firm’s pricing strategy. Responsibilities include developing fee arrangements aligned with strategic goals, analyzing pricing performance and options, and preparing pricing content for external audiences, such as RFP responses. The role involves maintaining databases to track pricing projects and collaborating with team members on analyses of closed matters. The analyst will support other departments like Marketing and Accounting to meet client deadlines and assist senior team members as needed. Key duties include:
- Developing fee agreements at various levels within the law firm.
- Producing and running pricing models for projects.
- Collaborating with Business Development to prepare RFP responses and other presentations.
- Maintaining and updating fee arrangement databases.
- Assisting attorneys with AFA education, modeling, and creation.
- Assisting the Pricing Manager with analyses of closed matters and future bid scenario modeling.
- Identifying financial trends and recommending improvements, including evaluating market pricing tools.
- Staying informed on current AFA trends and proposing innovations.
- Assisting in training and mentoring junior staff.
- Coordinating and tracking department projects.
- Ensuring high-level service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Performing ad hoc analysis using the law firm’s profitability model.
- Summarizing detailed pricing analyses for high-level consumption.
- Compiling data and preparing reports.
- Working cross-functionally to complete pricing-related RFP requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
Education: A is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or the paralegal field is required. Experience within a large law firm or professional service firm sector is a plus. Knowledge of AFA, RFP, and strategic pricing is required.
Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Vlookup, charts/graphs, macros, what/if statements, and financial formulas.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, with 3E System being a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet reporting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to embrace change in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, credibility, and ethical behavior.
Other:
- Supervisory responsibilities may include delegating to Pricing Specialists and Client Value Interns.
- Equipment used includes a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Essential job functions involve prolonged periods of sitting, intense eye usage, and finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively is necessary.
- Must work in the office at least three days per week and may be required to work additional hours as needed.
Salary Information:
- Pittsburgh/Houston/Dallas: $88,600 - $92,000
- Chicago and Philadelphia: $90,000 - $104,500
- Washington DC: $101,000 - $111,000
