Our diverse and collaborative team is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Specialist to join us in either our Chicago or New York office.
In this role, you will support **Members Only**'s Global Product, Industry and Client Teams groups, which are strategic priorities for the firm. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment, and collaborate closely with our Global Business Development & Marketing team. # H2: Your Responsibilities
As a Business Development & Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing and supporting the firm's business development and administrative initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and supporting business development team members and lawyers in executing on business plans and client strategies
- Communicating successes and best practices to ensure coordination across the Business Development & Marketing Department
- Supporting thought leadership publications and offerings, including project management and data mining for business development opportunities
- Managing logistics for direct marketing and business development programs, such as podcasts, videos, seminars, and sponsorships
- Conducting research and analysis for strategic planning, competitive positioning, and business development activities
- Developing and maintaining marketing content, including brochures, presentations, and social media posts
- Providing support for local office events and initiatives
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet firm goals and objectives
# H2: Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or English. You should also have at least 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or research in a professional services environment, preferably in the legal industry. Other qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with research techniques and databases commonly used for competitive intelligence in professional services companies
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the firm and external vendors
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment
