Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The role of a Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant at the law firm involves a variety of tasks critical to the efficient operation of the office. The primary responsibilities include:
- Completing immigration forms and other legal documentation.
- Conducting client interviews to gather necessary information.
- Drafting statements and supporting documents for clients.
- Preparing and finalizing case files.
- Meeting with clients to follow up on their cases and gather any additional required information.
- Managing case files, maintaining, and updating client records.
- Working independently with attorneys on case management with minimal guidance.
- Answering client calls and scheduling appointments and consultations.
- Participating in law firm meetings and advising attorneys on other legal matters.
- Sending documents via FedEx and postal mail.
- Performing other administrative tasks related to the law firm’s operations.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum educational qualification of an associate degree in a related field. Furthermore, the candidate must be proficient in both English and Spanish, possessing strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
Experience requirements include:
- At least two years of experience in an office setting.
- At least two years of experience in customer service.
- Experience in immigration law or working in a law firm is highly valued.
