Senior Patent Agent/IP Liaison - Hybrid Work Mode at Boston Scientific

Role Overview:

The Senior Patent Agent/IP Liaison at Boston Scientific will play a crucial role in supporting the company's intellectual property (IP) attorneys and research and development (R&D) teams. In this hybrid work mode position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and high-performing team to tackle some of the most important challenges in the health industry. Key Responsibilities:

- Support Divisional IP Counsel and R&D teams in managing and developing IP portfolios to align with business strategies
- Facilitate Patent Review Boards meetings and manage agenda topics and action items
- Assist in patent prosecution and management, including outside counsel work and costs
- Conduct patent searches and competitor landscape analyses
- Provide IP training and raise awareness across the business
- Potentially assist in managing trademark and other forms of intellectual property protection and prosecution
- Potentially assist attorneys in evaluating patents and potential product infringement reviews

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a related patent agent or IP liaison role
- Strong knowledge of US and international patent law and practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Action-oriented and able to take on new challenges with enthusiasm

Preferred Qualifications:

- Admitted to practice before the USPTO
- 2+ years of in-house experience
- Degree in engineering, science, or similar field
- Medical device experience
- Experience with patent analytics, AI tools, and database searching

Salary Information:

- Minimum Salary: $99,100
- Maximum Salary: $188,300
