Job Title: Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Review and proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage case files to ensure all documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Support the litigation process by preparing discovery responses, motions, and pleadings.
- Stay informed about changes in applicable federal regulations and other relevant legal areas to provide accurate support.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for cases.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to ethical standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, calendaring, and drafting correspondence.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree or equivalent experience in a paralegal program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
- Strong understanding of at least two of the following areas of law: civil litigation, worker's compensation, social security disability, VA disability, and Immigration law.
- Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in document review processes and familiar with legal and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Information:
- Pay: - per hour
- Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
- Base pay range: The minimum salary is and the max salary is per hour.
- Median pay: per hour
