Traditional Labor Law Associate Position at Law Firm in San Diego, CA
Overview:
- Remote and hybrid work options available
- Full-time position with competitive salary range of $204,500 - $221,500
- 4-6 years of experience as an attorney with traditional labor and/or advice and counsel work preferred
- Must be a member of the CA Bar Association
- Opportunity to work with top national law firm known for excellence in labor and employment law
- Regular business travel may be required
Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in traditional labor relations matters, including NLRB charges, elections, collective bargaining, and grievance and arbitration proceedings
- Provide legal advice on federal and California workplace laws, wage and hour issues, leave management, and disability accommodations
- Conduct reviews of handbooks, policies, and compensation plans to ensure compliance with state and federal laws
- Conduct management training on labor relations, workplace issues, and harassment and discrimination prevention
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- JD from ABA accredited law school
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
- Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques preferred
