Job Title: Sr. Counsel Employment & Litigation (Remote)

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Counsel Employment and Litigation is tasked with providing comprehensive employment law and litigation guidance to the various Business Segments within the company. This role reports directly to the General Counsel and involves collaborating with a team of six attorneys. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required to different Business Segment sites. Key responsibilities include:

- Offering legal advice to the company, its subsidiaries, and affiliates regarding employment law, employee benefits, and strategic litigation management.
- Conducting workplace investigations to ensure compliance and address potential legal issues.
- Establishing objectives and schedules to align with and support business requirements.
- Advising on the creation and implementation of workplace policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws.
- Understanding business requirements and assessing the company's risk tolerance.
- Communicating with and managing outside counsel on employment and litigation matters.
- Overseeing employment litigation, including class actions.
- Providing counsel on union issues and collective bargaining agreements.
- Approving bills from outside counsel and other professionals.
- Collaborating with management to make recommendations regarding strategic planning for business matters.
- Keeping abreast of current legal issues to ensure the company remains compliant.
- Sharing knowledge and experiences with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

Education and Experience Information:

- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school is required.
- An active bar license in good standing with any US jurisdiction is necessary.
- A minimum of six years of employment and litigation experience is required, with expertise in a wide range of employment issues at both federal and state levels.
- Experience in employment law counseling, investigations, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, and labor relations is essential.
- Employment litigation experience is mandatory.
- Experience in a multinational environment is preferred.
- A combination of law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred.

- Willingness to travel as needed, domestically and internationally (approximately quarterly).
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Salary Information:

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 annually, along with bonus programs, health benefits, and a 401K plan.
