Job Title: Information Governance Matter Mobility Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Information Governance Matter Mobility Analyst will be tasked with supporting all facets of the law firm's matter mobility program. The primary responsibilities include implementing the firm's policy and procedures related to matter mobility processes and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the technology systems employed by the Information Governance (IG) department. The analyst will serve as an initial point of contact for lateral attorney arrivals and departures, facilitating communication with incoming and departing attorneys, clients, and outside counsel regarding matter mobility processes.
The role also involves being an internal resource to answer any questions related to the matter mobility process. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing incoming Electronically Stored Information (ESI), confirming receipt, identifying appropriate repositories for storage, and facilitating data import. Additionally, the analyst will conduct internal reviews of records before their transfer out of the firm and coordinate with other IG team members and staff to facilitate the transfer of physical records into the records management system. The position may also involve special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Information Governance Matter Mobility Analyst position should have 3-4 years of experience in law firm or other records management environments. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, although certification(s) in a relevant field may also be considered. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work proactively with attorneys and staff at all levels across the firm, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. The candidate should have the capability to balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
Additional requirements include the ability to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Some overtime and travel may be required, with travel expenses covered by the firm.
