Katten is seeking a skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team at a top-ranked law firm in Chicago. With approximately 700 attorneys and offices across the US, London, and Shanghai, Katten is known for providing sophisticated, high-value legal services to clients locally, nationally, and internationally. Our practice areas include corporate, financial markets and funds, insolvency and restructuring, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, structured finance and securitization, transactional tax planning, private credit and private wealth. We represent a diverse range of clients, including public and private companies, government and nonprofit organizations, and individuals.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's online presence. Your primary focus will be to drive our social media presence on a daily basis and enhance our firm's voice in the digital space. You will also assist with the administration of our public website. This position can be based in our Chicago, Washington ., or New York office and offers a hybrid work model (KattenFlex) with the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Curate and manage content to drive our social media channels in alignment with department and firm strategy, while ensuring adherence to compliance rules and processes.
- Build relationships and collaborate with various departments and individuals within the firm to source relevant content for social media.
- Create and curate social-first content for campaigns across channels and utilize third-party platforms to aid attorneys in sharing content on LinkedIn.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop social-first initiatives that showcase our thought leadership and culture.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to social media platforms and leverage them to our firm's advantage.
- Utilize social analytics to inform decision-making and report key metrics for the website.
- Provide individual social media coaching to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Proficiency in graphic design and remote video capture and editing tools, such as Canva and Riverside, is preferred.
- Process website and social media requests from various departments and contribute to team and department projects.
- Perform day-to-day operations in the firm's content management system, including creating web pages, files, links, and informational widgets using native functionality as well as HTML/CSS and Adobe Photoshop.
- Conduct regular audits of website content and data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Document technical specifications, website manual, social media guidelines, and vendor/account information.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in (digital) marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a legal or professional services firm.
- Experience with social media administration, content management systems, and website platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and visual storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate storytelling and audience engagement on social media, particularly LinkedIn.
- Technical proficiency in HTML/CSS, web analytics, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to compile and analyze complex data.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proactive and able to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
- Highly organized with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Dependable team player who can also work independently.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Salary and Benefits:

- Annualized salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 for this position in our Chicago office.
- Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
