Job Title: Transfers Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Project Assistance: Assist with various projects such as closing files, transferring files in and out of the law firm, handling terminations, retention, and participating in other special projects as assigned.
- Records Collection & Review: Collect records and files from offices and off-site storage, and assist with reviewing these for disposition or transfer.
- Software Utilization: Operate computerized records management software to update systems with current data under the direction of the Transfers Specialist or Coordinator.
- Responsiveness: Respond promptly to requests sent via email, regular mail, instant message, and telephone.
- Document Review: Review physical and electronic files in preparation for transfer.
- Matter Opening: Assist with opening of matters in law firm systems.
- Document Organization: Assist with the preparation of electronic and physical files for inclusion in law firm systems.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of professional work experience is required, preferably in the legal and/or professional services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with a diverse group of attorneys and staff through phone, email, and in-person communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills across all responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using standard office technology, including personal computers, phone systems, copiers, and necessary programs and applications, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving technologies.
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.
- Ability to work in the Minneapolis office each Wednesday at a minimum and on occasion as needed.

- The pay range for this position varies by geographic market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting pay is - per hour (based on a workweek). Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.
