Summary:

Holland & Knight, a leading law firm, is seeking an Applied AI and Data Sciences Engineer to join their team. This hybrid role involves supporting the development and management of applied data sciences and artificial intelligence tools, platforms, projects, and engagements. The ideal candidate will have experience in data sciences and AI tools, as well as proficiency in cloud data platforms and application development. The base salary range for this position is $129,000 - $193,000 per year, with additional benefits and opportunities for growth.

Job Title:

Applied AI and Data Sciences Engineer (Hybrid) at Holland & Knight Law Firm

Experience:

- 2+ years of experience in data sciences and AI tools
- Experience in applying AI techniques towards successful product outcomes
- Direct experience with GenAI, LLM fine-tuning, and knowledge graphs
- Experience building LLM workflows using cloud services such as Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS
- Proficiency in SQL, Apache Spark, Python, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, and related products and platforms
- Knowledge of professional services landscape, workflow systems, legal project management, and practice management tools
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements in the legal industry

Responsibilities:

- Support the design, development, and support of applied data sciences and AI programs
- Assist with sourcing, evaluation, selection, and utilization of data sciences and AI tools
- Support AI product development and adoption with a focus on usability and scalability
- Develop and implement Machine Learning, LLM, and AI-enabled products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions and support business processes
- Engage with IT staff, vendors, and third parties to address technical issues and manage integrations
- Collect and communicate success metrics for data usage and performance of AI solutions
- Develop documentation and training materials for data consumers
- Collaborate on end-user training and adoption programs
- Participate in special projects and other assigned duties

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's or Doctorate preferred)
- Experience in safety and ethical aspects of AI
- Knowledge of emerging Microsoft OneLake, Fabric, Power, and related concepts and applications
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and Power platform
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and moderate or advanced keyboard usage

Location:

This position can be based in the global operations center in Brandon, FL or in one of the following locations: Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Miami.

Salary:

The base salary range for this position in Brandon, FL is $129,000 - $193,000 per year. Salary may vary for other locations.
